Food
Indians used nuts (walnuts, chestnuts, and acorns) that were boiled and mashed, and berries (strawberries, gooseberries, and huckleberries) eaten raw or mixed in a meal. They also hunted and fished.
Clothing
The colors of the clothing were influenced by their religious meanings. Their clothing was typically very modest. Men: Long and heavy clothing that was made of wool, linen, or leather. Women: Heavy clothing made of wool and linen. They wore modest/conservative gowns, skirts and petticoats.
